Pakistan strikes in Afghanistan against terrorists. Following a spike in terror attacks, Pakistan targets TTP strongholds along the Afghan border. Pakistan takes action against militants who are attacking its security forces and are based in Afghanistan.

Tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban regime have increased since Afghanistan fell to the militant group in 2021. Islamabad says the Pakistani militants, known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, are based over the border in Afghanistan. The Taliban denies that it hosts Pakistanstani militants and other international jihadists. However, now patience in Pakistan is running thin after the attacks. The target of today’s operation was the terrorists belonging to Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, which along with TTP, is responsible for the March 16 attack in Mir Ali, North Waziristan and multiple other terrorist attacks in the country, resulting in deaths of hundreds of civilians and law enforcement officials including senior military Officers.
