In a breathtaking finishing display, Erling Haaland scored five goals to help holders Manchester City defeat Luton and advance to the FA Cup quarterfinals.
The Norwegian became the first player to score five goals in a game twice for City and recorded his eighth hat-trick for the team.
Kevin de Bruyne, who assisted the first four goals, was given time and space to cut the ball back for Haaland to score the first goal for City in the fourth minute.
Fifteen minutes later, the two linked up once more. Haaland pounced on a through pass before smashing it past Tim Krul, the goalkeeper for Luton, and the third goal was created by a similar maneuver, which was completed with a delicate dink.
