A woman was raped by a man after she approached a group of four men at a children’s park in Canterbury, Kent Police said. The complainant was approaching the Toddler’s Cove play area off Whitehall Road around 9:30 p.m., according to a news release. “A woman was first approached by four unknown men,” police said. “One of them attacked the victim after the others had left the scene.”
The suspect, described as a white man of Eastern European appearance, is believed to be around 18 or 19 years old. She had tight curly black hair that covered her ears and wore a white jumpsuit and a white skirt. She carried a small white bag around her waist. Two of the other men with him were white and about the same age. The fourth man had darker skin and wore a green coat and black pants. “Police continue to carry out several investigations to establish all the circumstances, including forensic analyzes at the scene and checks of possible video surveillance,” the statement said.
