US pop sensation Taylor Swift said that she was filled with “fear” and “guilt” after her Vienna show was canceled due to a possible suicide attack.
Swift has not made a statement since the emergence of reports two weeks ago regarding the possible attack.
“It was heartbreaking to have our Vienna shows canceled. The American singer wrote on Instagram, “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many had planned to come to those shows.”
“My entire focus had to be directed towards safeguarding the almost 500,000 attendees of my London shows,” she continued.
Swift also commended the authorities’ efforts in thwarting the planned attack in her post.
“We were mourning concerts rather than lives because of the authorities, for which I was also incredibly appreciative. The love and unity I witnessed among the fans who came together gave me hope,” the speaker remarked.
Swift also explained her silence regarding the show is cancellation and the alleged attack.
Swift wrote, “To be very clear, if I think speaking about something publicly might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows, then I will not speak about it.”
