US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated at a political conference in Maryland on Friday that only Trump has the ability to end the war.

“The bottom line is that President Zelenskyy will sign that deal, and you will see that in the very short term,” stated Waltz. And Ukraine benefits from that.

Additionally, he said that Zelenskyy had first suggested the minerals deal last year as part of his “victory plan.”

Trump urged Ukrainian leaders once more on Friday at a White House event. “They play it tough, but they do not have any cards,” he said. However, we will not tolerate this any longer.

In exchange for defense assistance, Ukraine must grant the US access to vital minerals, according to the agreement. But the two parties have failed to come to an agreement.

This week, Trump called Zelenskyy a “dictator” and cautioned him that securing peace with Russia would require swift action. In a Fox News Radio interview, he blasted Zelenskyy for not attending peace talks, saying he does not think it is necessary.

Zelenskyy posted Friday on social media about the importance of US support, adding that “strong and lasting peace can only be achieved through unity.”
