The US military says it has carried out a series of airstrikes against several camps in Syria belonging to the Islamic State group.
US Central Command says the strikes will “disrupt ISIS’s ability to plan, organize and execute attacks against the US, its allies and partners, and civilians across the region and beyond “.
He says assessments of the damage caused by the fighting are ongoing and do not include civilian casualties.
