In order to stop attacks coming from Yemeni regions under Houthi control, US forces claimed to have “conducted five self-defense strikes.” Since Israel’s war with Hamas began, the rebels have launched several attacks against merchant shipping.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday that the US had carried out five self-defense strikes in areas of Yemen under the control of the Houthi militia, which is supported by Iran.
Three mobile anti-ship cruise missiles, one unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV), and one unmanned surface vessel (USV) were the targets of the attacks, according to a post made on X by CENTCOM.
This is the first instance of an underwater drone being used by the US military to report on the Houthis.
Saturday was the day of the strikes.
