On Monday, Costa Rica declared its willingness to accept US citizens who are migrants from other nations. In the past, Guatemala and Panama also offered to follow suit.

In a statement, the nation’s presidential office announced that 200 migrants from India and central Asia would arrive on Wednesday on a commercial flight from the United States.

After that, they will be relocated to their home nations.

“The Costa Rican government consented to work with the United States to repatriate 200 illegal immigrants to their homeland. According to the statement, these individuals are from India and Central Asia.

A temporary migrant center near the Panamanian border will house the first group of deportees arriving on Wednesday.

The operation will be funded by the US government under the supervision of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
