Two men have been arrested after multiple people were stabbed on a train in eastern England, police in the United Kingdom said Saturday night.
“We are currently responding to an incident on a train to Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed,” British Transport Police said on X, without specifying how many.
British Transport Police added their officers were at the scene along with Cambridgeshire police.

The train route, one of the UK’s busiest, was severely disrupted by the incident, railway services said

Cambridgeshire police said in a post on X that officers had received calls just before 8 p.m. local time “with reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train.”
“Armed officers attended and the train was stopped at Huntingdon,” police said.

Shortly before 7.45pm last night, British Transport Police were called to reports of a multiple stabbing on board the 6.25pm train service.
Armed officers from Cambridgeshire Police boarded the train and arrested two people in connection with the incident.
They have been taken into police custody.
