Even though it was reduced to a tropical depression, Vietnam has not seen a storm like this in thirty years. A bridge collapsed northwest of Hanoi as floodwaters rose rapidly. At least 250 additional people have been injured and numerous more have gone missing since the storm made landfall on Saturday. A total of 120,000 hectares of agricultural land were destroyed by gusts of up to 150 km/h (93 mph), and millions of buildings lost electricity.
