A man has been charged with the murders of two women on Christmas Day in Milton Keynes as ITV News’ Callum Fairhurst reports

Two women killed at an apartment in Bletchley on Christmas Day have been named as Teohna Grant, 24 and Joanne Pearson, 38 as police charge a man with their murders.

Jazwell Brown, 49, of Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, has been charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count each of possession of a bladed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Thames Valley Police officers were called to a block of apartments in Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, at around 6.30pm on Wednesday to reports of a stabbing.

Both women died at the scene where a man in his late 20s and teenage boy were also seriously injured and taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

The force also confirmed the parties involved were known to each other.

Previously, Police said a dog had also been injured and died but were later informed that it was taken to a vet has survived.

A large cordon was in place at the scene on Thursday and a forensics team could be seen walking up the stairs of a block of flats

Flowers have been left on Santa Cruz Avenue and people in the area have been reacting in shock to the deaths.
