Two bodies discovered in Grand Canal as gardai launch investigation – Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of two bodies in the Grand Canal in Dublin this morning.

An Garda Siochana received the first report of a sighting of a body in the water shortly before 8am on Saturday morning, 6 July 2024.

Upon arrival, gardai and emergency services personnel discovered the bodies of two males aged in their 40s, in the canal. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
