Donald Trump has questioned whether the US would be “better off” without a deal with Iran, after stating that he was “not satisfied” with the nation’s peace proposal.
Iran handed over its latest proposal for negotiations with the US to mediators in Pakistan on Thursday night, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency said.
The US president told reporters he was “not satisfied” with the proposed plan as he left the White House for Florida on Friday.
Speaking at an event at the Raymond F. Kravis Center, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump then questioned whether the US should make a deal at all, as he described the war as “going on too long”.
