Netanyahu tells Trump ‘I support your plan’
Benjamin Netanyahu is now speaking, and he starts by telling Donald Trump “you are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House”.

“I believe that today, we’re taking a critical step towards ending the war in Gaza and setting the stage for dramatically advancing peace in the Middle East, and I think beyond the Middle East,” he says.Hamas says it has yet to receive Trump peace plan – which it says is close to Israel’s vision
Hamas says it has not yet received Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, Reuters news agency reports.

Hamas’s Mahmoud Mardawi told regional media that the group was not informed of Trump’s plan before its announcement.

In what may be seen as a signal of Hamas’s displeasure with the proposals, he adds that the provisions are close to the Israeli “vision” for ending the war.

Another Hamas official echoed that, reportedly saying mediators had not been informed of the plan and that they heard about it through media reports.
