Toyota returns to F1 with Haas technical partnership

American Formula One team Haas and Toyota announced a multi-year technical partnership on Friday, bringing Japan’s biggest carmaker into F1 for the first time since 2009.

The smallest team on the grid will continue to use Ferrari engines and work closely with Maranello and its chassis design partner Dallara, agreeing in July to a contract extension until the end of 2028.

The partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing, the car’s motorsport division, begins immediately with the entry of the cars driven by Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen at next week’s US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
