Chemical explosion at the University of Sydney: Three people were taken to hospital after a chemical explosion at the University of Sydney. Three people have been taken to hospital after a chemical explosion near the University of Sydney Sports and Aquatic Centre, FRNSW has confirmed.
It is understood a member of staff was carrying a bucket of acid in Darlington Lane, Darlington, on the university campus when a chemical reaction occurred just before 10am.
The staff member was walking near the campus athletic and aquatics center.
