The Iranian government has invited domestic and foreign media outlets to a prison in Tehran that was destroyed in an Israeli attack.

The prison tour took place on Tuesday, one week after the two countries started a ceasefire.

The walls and ceilings have collapsed and people were clearing rubble.

Judicial authorities say the airstrike on June 23 killed 79 people, including inmates, their families, administrative staff and neighborhood residents.

Israel argues that it was targeting Iran’s nuclear and military facilities, not civilians.

But Iranian officials say Israel attacked hospitals, residential areas, and the state-run broadcaster, with the death toll from the 12-day clash reaching 935.

Israel has reported that 28 people in the country died due to Iranian missile and other attacks.
