The hazardous volcanic ash caused flights to Bali to be canceled.

Flights between Australia and Bali have been canceled by a number of airlines because of hazardous ash clouds from a volcano close to the Indonesian vacation destination.

Due to the ash from Mount Lewotaobi Laki-laki, passengers were warned of the disruptions by Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin Australia on Wednesday.

The volcano spewed a 9km (6.2 miles) ash column into the sky over the weekend, one week after a major eruption killed 10 people.

Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology has also warned that the volcanic ash might drift to parts of the country’s north on Wednesday.
