Over two million customers still lack electricity, days after Category 4 Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region.

The storm is believed to have caused at least ten confirmed deaths. In North Carolina’s Buncombe County, a third of them were reported.
As a Category 4 hurricane, Helene made landfall Thursday night in the Big Bend region of Florida. Although the storm is predicted to pass by tomorrow, flash flooding and excessive rain are still a concern for portions of the Appalachians.
Over 2 million consumers in several states are still without electricity.
