Six passengers and six crew members on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dublin were hurt experiencing turbulence over Turkey.

A statment issued by Dublin Aiport Authority (Daa) said emergency services met the 12 people concerned when the flight landed just before 1pm on Sunday afternoon.

The injuries happened when the flight experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey.

A Daa spokesperson said: “Qatar Airways flight QR107 from Doha landed safely as scheduled at Dublin Airport shortly before 13.00.”

They added: “The Dublin Airport team continues to provide full assistance on the ground to passengers and airline staff.”

It follows a recent incident involving turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore, in which one passenger died and several were injured.
