Reports state that a private plane crashed into a swamp in Thailand on Thursday, possibly killing seven tourists.
According to local media, the passengers were on a flight from Bangkok airport to the southwest province of Trat when the aircraft caught fire.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., the Cessna 208B Grand-Caravan crashed into a mangrove forest in the province of Chachoengsao.
The Bangkok Post stated that there were nine passengers on the plane.
Women’s clothing and a picture of three foreign women were discovered at the site of the small plane wreckage, which was discovered in the mud of the forest.
The pilots and passengers who went missing are still being looked for by the authorities.
Photos from the scene show a large search team encircling a crater and wreckage scattered throughout the forest.
Before rushing to the crash site, Ang Trasawat, a local, claimed to have heard a loud explosion.
“There were explosions in the air,” he declared. There was a loud sound just before the plane crashed into the ground.
“I hurried to see the scene after that. Parts of the aircraft had been left all over, including close to a residence.”
Preecha Boontham, 56, reported: “There was a loud acceleration of the plane.” Nothing was emitting smoke.
“After that, the aircraft dropped to the mangrove forest and headed for the fields.
It was a tiny, two-winged white aircraft. There was a loud explosion following the collision.”
Police and paramedics have been sent to the scene, according to Police Lieutenant Warayut Chanwichumet, Deputy Chief of Investigation from the Bang Pakong District station.
“We have closed off the area to prevent additional accidents as a result of the plane’s oil leak,” he stated. No pilot or passengers have been discovered thus far, despite our inspection of the wreckage.
“To find the pilot and passengers, we are going to widen the search area and excavate beneath the wreckage. In order to ascertain the owner of the aircraft and the total number of passengers, we will also examine the flight data
