US Senator Kyrsten Sinema has announced she will not run for re-election in November, a blow for Democrats who narrowly control the Senate. In 2022, Ms. Sinema changed her political affiliation from Democratic to Independent, although she still usually votes for her old party. Given that Arizona is a swing state, there will be a heated contest for her seat.
