Russia’s Putin, Israel’s Netanyahu discuss Middle East in call, Kremlin says”

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the situation in the Middle East, including developments in Gaza, Iran’s nuclear program and Syria, in a phone call, the Kremlin said on Saturday. The two focused on the situation in the Gaza Strip, especially regarding the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners… The previous telephone conversation between the Russian and Israeli leaders took place on Oct. 6, during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East as the United States proposed a “20-point plan.” Putin reiterated Russia’s consistent position in support of resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance with international law.
