Russian forces are closing in on Avdiivka and posing a threat .

The US has issued a warning that Russia may take control of Avdiivka, a vital town in eastern Ukraine that has seen some of the bloodiest fighting in recent months.
The National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, stated that Avdiivka could become under Russian control due to the scarcity of ammunition in Ukraine.
