Russian attacks show Putin has no interest in peace, EU says Overnight strikes by Moscow’s troops have killed at least 14 people in Ukraine

It came hours after the US announced it halted Ukrainian access to unclassified satellite images that had been used to help it fight back against Russia, and followed the suspension of military aid and intelligence to Ukraine.

Speaking at the Oval Office on Friday, US President Donald Trump dismissed claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin was taking advantage of the pause in military aid and intelligence.

Instead, he said he thinks Putin is “doing what anybody else would do” to get “it stopped and settled”.

He continued: “I think he’s hitting them harder than than he’s been hitting them. And I think probably anybody in that position would be doing that right now.”
