
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected Hamas’s proposed ceasefire terms – saying “total victory” in Gaza is possible within months. Rejecting Hamas proposal he did not look in mood for any sort of comprise.
The Americans would have liked in order to keep the region quiet and peaceful that Israel would make few concessions.
PM Israel was buying none of it.
I set absolute victory as the goal from the start,” he says, and “we won’t settle for any less than that.”
He reiterates the goals of the war: Destroying Hamas, returning the hostages, and ensuring Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel, and says the IDF is moving “systematically” to achieve them.
