Philippines arrests alleged Chinese boss of scam farm network

A Chinese man accused of running a vast fraud ring in the Philippines has been arrested, authorities in Manila announced Friday.

Kidnapping, prostitution, human trafficking, torture and murder.

The 33-year-old native of China’s Fujian province “is a very disturbing figure in the Philippine organized crime landscape,” the Presidential Commission on Organized Crime said in a statement.

“Since 2016, (Lin) has systematically built a web of fraud, often using legitimate businesses as fronts to mask his illegal activities” in the country, he said.
