“General Charles “CQ” Brown has served our nation for more than 40 years, including as our current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. For this, I am grateful. In a post on Truth, Trump stated, “I wish him and his family a great future. He is a fine gentleman and an outstanding leader.” Trump said that retired Lt. Gen. Dan Caine would be his pick to succeed Brown, who took his position just 16 months ago under the Biden administration. Caine, also known as “Razin,” is a career fighter pilot and was recently the associate director for military affairs at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Trump praised Caine for his crucial roles in Iraq and called him “instrumental” in the fight against ISIS.
Many so-called military “geniuses” predicted that defeating ISIS would take years. However, Trump echoed remarks he made earlier in the week at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute summit in Miami when he said, “General Caine said it could be done quickly, and he delivered.”
Biden “passed over Caine for promotion,” according to Trump. “But not anymore! Alongside Secretary [of Defense] Pete Hegseth, General Caine and our military will restore peace through strength, put America First, and rebuild our military.”
Hegseth said in a Pentagon statement that he was seeking nominations for the positions of judge advocates general for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as chief of naval operations and vice chief of staff for the Air Force. “Under President Trump, we are putting in place new leadership that will focus our military on its core mission of deterring, fighting and winning wars,” the Pentagon chief said.
