Ukraine has demolished a bridge that crosses a river in the Kursk region. The Ukrainian army says it will keep moving forward and has established a military facility inside Russia to “meet the immediate needs” of the local populace.
In other places, Pokrovsk, a city in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, is ordered to evacuate by its citizens.
According to reports, a portion of the local district has been cut off by the operation near the town of Glushkovo, according to Russian officials.
The destruction of the bridge could impede the Kremlin’s efforts to supply its troops.
President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Ukrainian forces were fortifying their positions in Kursk and referred to the seized areas as a “exchange fund,” suggesting that Moscow might exchange them for other areas of Ukraine that are under Russian occupation.
