Pakistan: has expanded a notice to air missions (NOTAM), covering a larger part of its airspace, before an Indian tri services exercise is to commence on Rajasthan and Gujarat.

The NOTAM, which builds on one issued earlier, now covers most of Pakistani airspace, with flights being restricted due to planned military exercises. The move comes after the Pakistani Navy Chief visited the Sir Creek area over the weekend to inspect troops and check on preparedness. As reported by ET, India has planned a major tri services exercise, with a NOTAM issued from October 30 to November 11 for large parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Earlier this month, Singh also visited soldiers in the Sir Creek area. Flagging off recent expansion of military infrastructure by Pakistan in the area, the defence minister issued a strong warning that any misadventure will be met with a decisive response that would change “both history and geography”.
