Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group (IPG) are nearing the final stages of merger talks, with Omnicom expected to acquire IPG in an all-stock transaction, reports The Wall Street Journal. The deal, valued at between $13 billion and $14 billion, would create the largest advertising and marketing company in the world.
According to media reports, Omnicom, which is estimated to be worth $20 billion, is set to absorb IPG, which would likely be valued in the range of $13 billion to $14 billion. The newly formed entity would generate over $20 billion in net revenue, surpassing WPP, which reported $15.1 billion in revenue.
If the merger is completed, it would create a dominant player in the global advertising sector, combining the strengths of both companies.
