Nottingham Forest head coach Ange Postecoglou has been sacked by the Premier League club after just eight games in charge of the team.
Postecoglou’s last match ended in a 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, the sixth loss of his short tenure in all competitions.
The 60-year-old Australian was appointed on 9 September following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo and four months after guiding Tottenham to the Europa League.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis left his seat midway through the contest and less than 20 minutes after the defeat at the City Ground, a club statement said Postecoglou had been dismissed after “a series of disappointing results and performances”.
Home fans were seen leaving the ground when Reece James scored Chelsea’s third goal six minutes before the end, prompting visiting supporters to chant ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ to Postecoglou.
Boos followed the full-time whistle after a fourth successive defeat.
