The number of people who died due to the combined effects of typhoon Carina, the southwest monsoon, locally called habagat, and tropical depression Butchoy has reached 36, the National Disaster Risxfk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
Based on its 8 a.m. bulletin on Monday, the NDRRMC said of the 36, it has confirmed the death of 14 people. Additionally, the agency said the number of affected individuals rose from 3.6 million to 4.5 million or 1.2 million families.
