Met Police reviewing misconduct allegations after files suggest Mandelson sent government information to Epstein.

The SNP and Reform UK have reported Peter Mandelson to the Metropolitan Police after emails suggest he forwarded internal government information to Jeffrey Epstein when he was business secretary in 2009

The Met says it has “received a number of reports relating to alleged misconduct in a public office”, and will review them to determine if they “meet the criminal threshold for investigation”

Lord Mandelson, who resigned from the Labour Party on Sunday night, also appeared to say JP Morgan boss Jamie Dimon should “mildly threaten” then-Chancellor Alistair Darling over a bankers’ bonus tax

Mandelson gave Epstein advance notice of a €500bn bailout from the EU to save the Euro, according to documents in the Epstein files. He has been approached for comment

Sir Keir Starmer believes Mandelson should not be a member of the House of Lords and has ordered an “urgent” investigation into his contact with Epstein while he was a government minister, No 10 says

EX-PM Gordon Brown condemns the alleged leak of a “highly sensitive government document” and “other confidential information” during the financial crisis as “wholly unacceptable”

The latest files also include an email from “Sarah” congratulating Epstein on having a baby in September 2011
