Man dies after being struck by a lorry on Essex’s M25 hard shoulder.

After being struck by a lorry on the M25’s hard shoulder in Essex, a man has passed away.
Following the collision between Junctions 29 and 30 near Upminster and Thurrock, there are significant tailbacks.
Around four in the morning on Sunday, an HGV struck two male pedestrians who were standing on the side of the motorway, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The two were treated by officers who arrived with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
One victim passed away at the scene in spite of their best efforts. The other man is still in the hospital.
According to National Highways, a car was a part of the collision.
“The M25 in Essex is closed clockwise between J29 and J30 due to a collision involving a lorry and a car,” a spokesperson stated.
Road closures are being assisted by National Highways traffic officers and contractors, while investigations are being conducted by Metropolitan Police.
“Be prepared for the road to be closed all morning.”
Scotland Yard went on: “On Sunday, September 8 at 03.56am, police were called to the scene of a collision between a lorry and pedestrians standing on the hard shoulder of the M25 clockwise between J29 and J30.
Two men were treated by officers who arrived with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
“One of the men – no further details – died at the scene despite their best efforts.
Road closures are in effect while police conduct investigations.
“There have been no arrests made.”
