Chiedozie Ogbene’s header gave Luton the lead at the half as Liverpool, and Luis Diaz in particular, missed opportunity after opportunity.

After the break, the Reds were on a roll, and their exertion paid off when captain Virgil van Dijk scored a header from a corner in the 56th minute to bring his team level.
