Hours after reporting that four people had died in the south, Lebanon’s health ministry announced early on Wednesday that one person had been killed and twenty others injured in Israeli strikes in the country’s east.
The strikes came as tensions were rising following Israel’s killing of a senior Hezbollah commander and more than 24 hours after Israel conducted similar raids deep inside east Lebanon.
One person was killed and twenty others were wounded in “Israeli enemy strikes on the Bekaa” valley, according to an updated toll released by the health ministry.
