King and Queen unable to meet US Epstein survivors due to police investigation.

However, following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the ongoing criminal investigation by Thames Valley Police into the offence of misconduct in public office, palace sources suggest any meeting with Epstein victims would risk prejudicing those inquiries.

The police force is also assessing other information which came to light in the Epstein files relating to potential crimes of sex trafficking and they are still deciding whether there is sufficient evidence to launch other criminal investigations.

The former prince has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Previously, the King and Queen have said their “sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse” and palace aides point to Queen Camilla’s longstanding support for charities which support victims of domestic violence and abuse.
