In an attempt to end the turmoil that has engulfed Britain’s first Labor administration in 14 years, the Prime Minister on Sunday fired his chief of staff, Sue Grey, after internal complaints about the political operation she he headed 10 Downing Street.
The dramatic move comes as doubts are cast over Labour’s budget plans just three weeks before a historic budget, with officials admitting they were considering three tax proposals amid fears they are not feasible in the its current form or end up costing more than generating money.
