Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, both renowned actors, are divorcing after two years of marriage. According to court records, Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, as confirmed by documents obtained by the BBC.
The couple, famously dubbed “Bennifer” by the tabloids, initially married in a formal ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. This was followed by a more extravagant celebration in Georgia the following month.
Affleck and Lopez first met while working on the 2003 crime comedy Gigli. They began a romance and planned to marry in 2004 but ended their relationship early that year. Nearly two decades later, they rekindled their relationship, eventually leading to marriage.
