Israeli tanks have advanced on Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, while Israeli airstrikes on the nearby Maghazi refugee camp have killed three Palestinians. The United Nations has been forced to pause its aid operations in Gaza after Israel ordered a mass evacuation of Deir el-Balah, where the UN had recently set up its operations center after relocating from Rafah due to Israel’s earlier ground invasion.
In the occupied West Bank, six Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers and settlers. Meanwhile, far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir declared his intent to “put an Israeli flag” on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, heightening tensions.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in at least 40,435 deaths and 93,534 injuries in Gaza. Additionally, an estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7.
