Iran’s foreign minister says damage from war with Israel is ‘serious’” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Thursday that damage from the 12-day war with Israel was “serious,” as Iran begins assessing the impact of the conflict.

“A detailed assessment of the damage is being carried out by experts from the Atomic Energy Organization (of Iran),” he told state TV, adding “the discussion of demanding damages” was now high on the government’s agenda.

Araghchi firmly denied speculation Iran is preparing to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States.

“Some speculations about the resumption of negotiations should not be taken seriously,” he said.

“I would like to state clearly that no agreement, arrangement or conversation has been made to start new negotiations. No plan has been set yet to start negotiations.”

Araghchi said a bill suspending cooperation with UN nuclear watchdog was now “binding” after being passed by lawmakers and approved by a top vetting body.

“The bill that was approved by (parliament) and has been approved by the Guardian Council today … is binding on us and there is no doubt about its implementation,” he told state television.
