Indonesian rescuers are racing to find survivors of a school building collapse in East Java Province that left three people dead.

Authorities said an Islamic boarding school collapsed on Monday. Local media say 140 students were in the building for prayer at the time of the tragedy.

Rescuers are searching for 38 students feared buried under the rubble. Officials say an upper floor of the school was being built, and that the foundation may not have been strong enough.
