According to The Hindu Newspaper, shortly after winning the contract to construct Sunni Dam, the company of BJP MP C.M. Ramesh purchased ₹45 crore in election bonds. Rithwik Projects Private Limited appears to have bought the bonds around the time of major Assembly elections in 2023, and after being awarded a valuable power project.
