According to reports, Israeli fighter jets are over Beirut during Hassan Nasrallah’s speech, the leader of Hezbollah.

According to state media, the aircraft were breaching the sound barrier over the capital of Lebanon.

Social media videos showed Israeli warplanes shooting flares while flying low. Meanwhile,

Lebanon has suffered two days of seemingly random explosions of hand-held communication devices used by Hezbollah members across the country and in Syria. Analysts say this has opened a new chapter in the decades-old conflict between the two sides.

Following two days of pager and “walkie-talkie” radio handset explosions, 37 people have died and thousands have been injured in Syria and Lebanon.
