Hundreds of prisoners freed in a big swap

206 POWs were exchanged between Russia and Ukraine on Saturday. Meanwhile, former Russian President Dmytri Medvedev threatened to turn Kiev into a “molten-grey mass.” Russia and Ukraine have completed a significant prisoner swap.
The Russian ministry of defense was cited by the Interfax news agency on Saturday, stating that 103 prisoners had been released by each side as part of their prisoner exchange.

The Russian soldiers that were exchanged on Saturday were said to have been taken prisoner in the Kursk region of Russia, according to the ministry. The area was taken over by Ukrainian forces last month after they launched their first big incursion into Russia.
