Trump Urges Israel to Launch Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities first

Washington, D.C. – Former President and 2024 Republican candidate Donald Trump has urged Israel to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, citing the growing threat posed by the Islamic Republic. Speaking at a campaign event in North Carolina, Trump emphasized that Israel should take action following Iran’s recent missile attacks on Israel.

During the event in Fayetteville, near a major U.S. military base, Trump criticized Democratic President Joe Biden’s recent remarks on Iran. When asked if he supported Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear program, Biden responded negatively, stating that such attacks should only occur if Iran develops nuclear weapons.

Trump disagreed sharply with Biden’s stance, stating, “Isn’t that exactly what you’re supposed to hit? The biggest danger we face is nuclear weapons. The answer should be: Strike nuclear first and worry about the rest later.”

The comments come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, following Iran’s firing of nearly 200 missiles into Israel. Biden, responding to the situation, expressed that while Israel has the right to defend itself, any reaction must be “proportionate” and discussed with international partners, including the G7.

Trump, engaged in a fierce election battle with Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, blamed Biden and his administration for the current crisis, issuing a strong statement earlier this week holding them responsible for the heightened tensions in the region.
