Helicopter Crash in Enköping Sweden– Two On Board

A helicopter has crashed at Långtora airfield outside Enköping.

Something happened shortly after takeoff, which caused the helicopter to start spinning and then crashed, says Lisa Mjörning, communications manager at the Swedish Maritime Administration, to TT.

Two people were on board and are said to have managed to get out. Both were awake and able to talk, according to the Swedish Maritime Administration. An ambulance is on site, and also rescue services to help with sanitation as fuel has leaked during the crash.

The alarm about the crash came just before 11 am on Monday.

A helicopter crashed near Enköping on Monday morning after experiencing difficulties shortly after takeoff. The aircraft spun out of control before crashing at Långtora airfield.

Two individuals were on board and managed to escape the wreckage. Both were conscious and communicating with emergency responders.

Emergency services, including an ambulance and a hazardous materials team, are on the scene. Fuel has leaked from the crashed helicopter, necessitating cleanup efforts.
