Harris Leads Trump In Several Key Battleground States, Polls Say

A number of polls made public here indicate that in several key battleground states, such as Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has lost ground to US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The most recent survey, which was carried out by YouGov and the Center for Public Opinion at UMass Lowell, indicates that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris leads former President Trump marginally in Michigan. The report claims that Harris leads Trump in the Great Lakes State by a slim margin, 48% to 43%.

According to Rodrigo Castro Cornejo, associate director of the Center for Public Opinion and assistant professor of political science at UMass Lowell, “this margin is good news for the vice president’s campaign for a swing state.”

If Trump wants to close the gap, he will have to fight hard in the Great Lakes State. Castro Cornejo declared, “If the Trump campaign hopes to remain competitive in Michigan, they must overcome its negative favorability in the state.” In Pennsylvania, the UMass Lowell Center for Public Opinion reports that Harris is at 48%, while Trump is at 46%.

“The Pennsylvania presidential race is still very close, and the next few weeks will be critical for both campaigns,” Cornejo said.

“As can be expected in a highly competitive race with few undecided voters, get-out-the-vote strategies will become increasingly important to mobilize supporters and ensure they go to the polls on Election Day,” he said.

According to a recent Fox News poll, Harris trails Trump in Arizona but leads him by a narrow margin in Georgia.
