Governor: A crime crackdown in the New York City subway will see the deployment of the National Guard.

The 1,000 New York City police officers who were ordered to patrol subway lines and conduct security checks on bags in the country’s largest transit system last month in response to an attack on a conductor and other high-profile crimes are supplemented by this new deployment.
